Invisalign moves teeth with a series of clear, custom-fit aligners, each shaped a little differently than the last. You switch trays every week or two, and your teeth follow a 3D path we map from your iTero scan before the first aligner is ever printed. Tooth-colored attachments give the trays grip where a rotation needs muscle, and a little IPR makes room when teeth sit shoulder to shoulder. The result is predictable instead of hopeful, and most East Side patients get through their whole course in short check-ins that fit between meetings. In select cases, aligner arch expansion can even widen the upper jaw enough to help with sleep apnea.
Most adult cases run 6 to 18 months. An Express case, like minor crowding or lining things up before veneers, can wrap in 3 to 4 months. A comprehensive case with a complex bite can run 18 months or more.

When your last aligner comes out, you move into clear Vivera retainers, made by Align, the same company behind Invisalign. They fit exactly because they’re printed from your final scan, and they hold up 4 to 6 times longer than ordinary retainers. Your first set is included in every plan.

Once your teeth are aligned, the foundation for everything cosmetic is set. Most patients pair Invisalign with one or more of these.
