Bonding is composite resin, tinted to your enamel and shaped onto the tooth by hand, then cured with a light. For worn front teeth, we add material back to the edges that have flattened over the years and restore the shape they used to have. There is a clinical name for the reshaping side of this, enameloplasty, but mostly it just means we sculpt the tooth back to looking right.
Nothing is decayed here. The teeth are healthy, they have just lost length. So we are adding to them, not cutting in. Often no shot is needed. The trick is reading where your edges were and not overdoing it, which is where doing this for twenty years helps.
