A good number of the people who come into the Easton Park studio for this are younger than the typical denture patient, and their situation is specific. They lost one tooth, maybe two, to something sudden. They are newish homeowners, often with a mortgage and a young family and a budget that is already spoken for. They know an implant is the gold standard for replacing a single tooth, and we will not pretend otherwise. But an implant means oral surgery, a healing stretch of several months, and a price tag that lands all at once, and plenty of people in this stage of life just are not in a position to take that on right now.
This is where a partial earns its keep as a stepping stone. A flexible partial fills the gap immediately, so you stop hiding the space in photos and you can chew on that side again, and it does it for a small fraction of what an implant costs. Nothing about wearing a partial closes off the implant later. When the timing and the budget line up, you do the implant, and the partial bridged the years in between. We are upfront about all of this at the consult, including a real cost comparison of both paths. The studio sits in Easton Park off the William Cannon extension, close to Union Park, Skyloft, and McKinney Falls State Park, so it is a quick trip for folks on the southeast side and out toward Del Valle.
