Sedation is hardly ever necessary for this. If the dentist makes you nervous, tell us, and we will keep things calm the whole way through.

We almost always recommend one. Even a little night grinding can chip it, so a guard while you sleep saves you a repair down the road.
Bonding rebuilds the tooth, but it is not armor. Go easy here: no chewing ice or pen caps, leave your fingernails alone, and never open packaging with your teeth.
Composite stains a bit more easily than porcelain. A rinse after coffee or wine helps, and a straw keeps dark iced drinks off the front teeth.
